New Year’s Eve is just around the corner and it has been always something that we are all excited about. The fireworks, the festivities, the countdown, everything about New Year’s Eve are always special.

Too bad, because of the Coronavirus that has been around for the recent two years now, we can kiss our usual New Year’s Eve goodbye.

Even though we might not able to go anywhere to celebrate New Year’s Eve, let’s not lose hope that we might be able to travel for the next New Year’s Eve in 2022.

Here are some places you should definitely visit to celebrate the new year!

1. London, United Kingdom

First of all, we got London. The capital city of the United Kingdom offers an astonishing new year experience. This city has a fireworks display that is launched from the London Eye.

Interestingly, the fireworks can be seen from rooftops and balconies all across London. So if you’re visiting London on New Year’s Eve and you don’t feel like leaving your comfy hotel room, you still can enjoy the fireworks display.

But, if you want to get the real experience of watching the fireworks display, get out there and search for the best location. The best views for this fireworks display are from Westminster Bridge and the opposite of the London Eye, which is the north embankment of the River Thames.

2. Paris, France

Who doesn’t know about Paris? The capital city of France is the perfect destination for a romantic New Year’s Eve. The City of Love has everything, from high-class dining to awesome light shows.

Paris also offers the chance to sip Champagne on the Champs-Elysees on New Year’s Eve. And we can enjoy Eiffel Tower’s light show around midnight.

Even though there are no epic fireworks displays like the one we would see in London or Sydney, it still has a pretty good firework display on New Year’s Eve.

3. Sydney, Australia

Australia and New Zealand are some of the first countries in the world that experience New Year’s Eve. And Sydney becomes the first major city in the world to celebrate the new year.

Sydney is famous for hosting one of the largest firework displays in the whole world. These fireworks displays last for almost fifteen minutes.

If you want to get the best view of the firework display, you can view it from one of the boats in the harbor or surrounding hills. Even after the firework display ended, the new year celebrations will last until dawn.

4. Tokyo, Japan

If you are a party animal, you will love Tokyo on New Year’s Eve. The capital city of Japan starts celebrating the new year on the 29th of December.

They start the new year celebration early, and once they get into the party, it almost doesn’t stop. The New Year’s celebrations in Japan last until January 4th.

Even though most of major tourist sites in the city usually are closed during new year’s celebration, the restaurants and clubs throughout Tokyo are packed with people celebrating new year. You can also enjoy various fireworks displays and festivities in this city.

5. San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua

Want to spend New Year’s Eve with more beach vibes? Try coming to San Juan Del Sur in Nicaragua. This place is one of the holiday hotspots in Central America. This town offers surfing and beach mecca for travelers of all ages.

Usually, this city will be packed with tourists and locals during the new year celebration. Tourists and locals come from the surrounding area to enjoy time on the beach, with their families, and party!
